Customer Terms of Business

HaaldenInsure – Terms of Service

By purchasing a policy through HaaldenInsure, you agree to the terms outlined below, forming an agreement specifically for arranging and managing your insurance policy. This agreement is independent of any contract between you and the insurer.

We recommend reviewing these terms to ensure our services meet your requirements.

1. Our Service Commitment

HaaldenInsure offers short-term motor insurance policies for durations under one month. Our role includes providing policy options, confirming pricing, setting up coverage, managing policy administration, and collecting payments. We work with a dedicated claims partner to support you in case of any claim-related incidents.

Our service is informational; we don’t provide advice or personal recommendations. Instead, we help refine your options by asking questions aligned with your requirements. Once you receive a quote, the decision to proceed is entirely yours. While we’re available to address questions, we do not offer advisory services.

Policies are designed for customers within the UK seeking short-term insurance for private cars or specific commercial vehicles. Please review our Eligibility Criteria to confirm your eligibility.

2. Acting on Your Behalf and with Insurers

As an intermediary, HaaldenInsure may act as your agent or, as needed, the insurer’s. We are transparent about any potential conflicts of interest.

  • Policy Setup: We act on your behalf to establish your insurance policy.
  • Claims Assistance: Our claims team represents your interests, offering support and guidance during the claims process.
  • Policy Selection and Administration: We may act on behalf of the insurer to provide competitive pricing and detailed policy information for your consideration.

3. Range of Available Policies

We collaborate with a range of insurers to offer policies suited to diverse coverage needs. By comparing these options, we provide you with a quote that aims to balance both coverage and affordability based on your details.

While we assess the financial stability of our insurance partners, we cannot be held responsible for any business disruptions that might affect them.

4. Fee Structure

Your total policy cost includes the insurer’s premium, a HaaldenInsure service fee, and any optional add-ons or referral fees, if applicable.

  • Insurer Premium: Covers underwriting expenses, Insurance Premium Tax, and may include a commission for HaaldenInsure, varying by insurer.
  • Optional Add-ons: You may choose additional services such as Breakdown Cover, Excess Reduction, or Legal Expenses Insurance, for which we receive a commission from the provider(s).
  • HaaldenInsure Fee: This fee covers costs associated with setting up, managing, and supporting your insurance contract, and it is disclosed before purchase.

Maximum fees apply to specific products as follows:

  • Car Insurance: Up to £130
  • Van Insurance: Up to £130
  • Motorbike Insurance: Up to £130
  • Learner Insurance: Up to £130
  • Impounded Vehicle Insurance: Up to £200

Additional fees may apply if you were referred to HaaldenInsure by a partner.

Other Fees: We may receive fees from claims partners and engage in profit-sharing arrangements with insurers.

5. Payment Processing

HaaldenInsure acts on behalf of the insurer for payment collection and any refunds. Once premiums are deposited in our trust account, they are considered received by the insurer. Any interest on these funds is retained by HaaldenInsure.

6. Important Information Disclosure

You are legally obligated to provide accurate and complete information to the insurer. Any intentional or accidental misrepresentation may impact your ability to make a successful claim.

7. Policy Modifications, Cancellations, and Refunds

Due to the short-term nature of policies (under 30 days), modifications or additions are not allowed, and cancellations are non-refundable.

8. Claims Support

In the event of an accident, our claims team is available to provide assistance and guide you through the claims process.

9. Resolving Issues

We are committed to excellent service. If you encounter issues, please contact us via email, phone, or in writing. Should you need further support, you may escalate your concern to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

10. Financial Compensation Scheme

In certain situations, you may be eligible for compensation under the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). For additional details, please consult the FSCS website.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

We collect only the personal information needed to process your insurance. This data is securely handled in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018. For more information on your data rights, please refer to our Privacy Notice.

12. Managing Conflicts of Interest

We take care to identify and address any conflicts of interest that may arise, ensuring transparency and obtaining consent when needed.

13. Issuing Policy Documents

Upon receiving your payment, your policy documents and insurance certificate will be sent electronically, with postal copies available upon request.

14. Data Sharing with Industry Registers

To help prevent fraud, we share information with claims and underwriting registers. Vehicle details are also submitted to the Motor Insurance Database for verification purposes.

15. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
